The head of the EC said that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the special operation exceeded 100 thousand people

The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, in a published video message, said that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the special operation have exceeded 100 thousand military and more than 20 thousand civilians.

She announced these data based on the calculations of the European Union.

“Over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers and more than 20,000 civilians died”, - the head of the EC said (TASS quote).

According to her, the damage caused to Ukraine is estimated at 600 billion euros, against the previous estimate of 385 billion euros. She once again announced the need to compensate for the damage caused by frozen Russian assets worth 300 billion euros and private assets of Russian citizens worth 19 billion euros, as Kommersant reports.
