The armored Mercedes-Benz S-class, released in 1993, is valued at 30 million tenge (3.9 million rubles), which is six times higher than the average cost of similar cars of this age, according to the online publication Auto.ru. (Usually, such Mercedes-Benz with the W140 body of the first years of production cost 4.2-9 million tenge in Kazakhstan).
And this is not surprising, since the Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL carried the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and bore the state number 01 KZ.
The car is equipped with a 6-liter 12-cylinder engine that develops 408 hp and 580 Nm of torque.
The sedan is armored according to class B7, and therefore, it will protect passengers from both 7.62 mm caliber cartridges and armor-piercing cartridges. Moreover, the seller assures that the armored capsule was made by special order and has no analogues. The mileage of the sedan is quite small - only 37.9 thousand kilometers. By the way, Nazarbayev's car was owned by a person who bought it at auction back in 2008, but, in all likelihood, almost never used it.
