An oil reservoir near the Kursk airfield caught fire as a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle, said the head of the region, Roman Starovoit.

The governor said that there were no victims, the fire is currently localized. “All special services” are working on the spot, Starovoit said.

Kursk airport has not received or sent civil aircraft since February 24 this year. It, like the other nine Russian air harbors, has a flight restriction regime.

On the eve of the Ministry of Defense stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to carry out an attack with jet drones on the airfields "Dyagilevo" and "Engels". The drones were intercepted by air defense systems. Three Russian soldiers were killed.
