"I do not want to say in advance, but it is important that information is collected. It is important that Ukraine be able to hold accountable for these things if necessary, but we also support the efforts of the International Criminal Court to gather evidence and information. There are discussions about some kind of independent court, the establishment of a tribunal. All this is on the table", - TASS quoted Blinken as saying.
On December 1, the French Foreign Ministry announced the start of joint work with European and Ukrainian partners to create a special international tribunal to investigate Moscow's actions in Ukraine. At the same time, in October, the head of the French Foreign Ministry, Catherine Colonna, assured that Paris did not support the idea of creating such a tribunal.
This summer, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, called the creation of a tribunal for crimes in Ukraine under the auspices of the UN extremely doubtful.
