The State Duma proposed to ban officials from going abroad for the New Year

"I urge to ban officials from leaving the country without any need for it - matters of national importance. In other cases, all the attention of the authorities should be focused on the development of the regions of our country, domestic tourism and support for our fighters", - RIA Novosti quotes the words of the parliamentarian.

Khamzaev also believes that the question of "is it correct to rest these days" should be asked by every official. In addition to the issue of "moral ethics", it is also a security issue, the deputy pointed out.

“No one can guarantee complete security for our citizens-officials, especially in the context of the frenzied Russophobia and hybrid form of war unleashed all over the world”, - the deputy of the lower house emphasized.

Meanwhile, the presidential administration sent out recommendations to the regions regarding holding New Year's events. Russian subjects have been advised to show restraint in spending, support patriotic musicians and mention the heroism of the defenders of the fatherland - including during children's holidays.
