Moldovan President Sandu accused Gazprom of failing to fulfill contractual obligations

“Gazprom is not fulfilling its obligations under the contract,” Sandu said on TVR Moldova, without giving details.

Currently, a state of emergency is in effect on the territory of Moldova. Last month, the Russian company promised to cut gas supplies to Moldova as some of it "settled" in Ukraine, but then decided not to. Since December, Moldova has stopped gas supplies from Russia.

Gazprom has repeatedly made concessions to Chisinau, which still has a large debt to the concern - about $ 700 million. The authorities of the republic regularly ask Gazprom for a delay in payments, the Russian side is meeting Moldova halfway, despite Sandu's anti-Russian rhetoric. In October, Moldovagaz received a discount for November deliveries - for it the price of Russian gas was $821.58 per thousand cubic meters, which is $209 less than in October.
