Seven people were injured in a fire at the Markovskoye field in the Irkutsk region

The Governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, said that the fire at the Markovskoye gas condensate field has now been eliminated.

- The fire was extinguished at the complex natural gas treatment unit of the Markovskoye field. There are no threats to the population, - said the head of the region.

Firefighters from the Irkutsk Oil Company worked at the scene. To extinguish the fire, the forces and means of fire and rescue units from Ust-Kut , the village of Magistralny, Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky were sent. 155 people and 37 pieces of equipment were involved. The field is located 2.5 km from the village of Verkhnemarkovo.

Recall that on December 12, a fire started in the rubber extraction shop of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim company. A few days earlier, a fire broke out at the Altai Tire Plant in Barnaul.
