Vladimir Putin established November 16 as Sambo Day in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree in which he established November 16 as Sambo Day in the Russian Federation. The decision was made in order to popularize this type of martial arts in the country.
“In order to popularize and develop SAMBO, I decide: to establish Sambo Day and celebrate it on November 16”, - the text of the decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information says .
The published decree comes into force from the date of its signing - December 19, 2022.
