In Khabarovsk, the carrier was arrested due to a fatal accident with shift workers

By decision of the Central District Court of Khabarovsk, an entrepreneur was arrested, whose bus overturned on the Khabarovsk-Komsomolsk-on-Amur highway on December 16. Eight people died as a result of the accident.

As the senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee of the ICR Daria Nemtseva specified, the person involved will stay under arrest for two months.

- It was established that the provision of services was improperly organized by the carrier - the bus driver did not undergo a mandatory medical pre-trip examination. The documentation confiscated from the carrier has signs of falsification. The investigation is working out all versions of what happened, including the fact that the driver could fall asleep while driving,” Nemtseva added.

The tragedy happened on the 178th kilometer of the highway near the village of Troitskoye, Nanai district. The Golden Dragon bus, which was carrying employees of Amur Minerals LLC, overturned there.
