In Russia, over the 11 months of this year, the damage from crimes decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period in 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said. The amount of damage in 2022 amounted to 700 billion rubles.
60.4% of the damage fell on crimes registered in cities and urban-type settlements, TASS specifies . The number of economic orientation decreased in comparison with the previous year by 0.7%. In 2022, 106.3 thousand such violations were registered. The damage from them reached 322.5 billion rubles.
At the end of last year, 16,887 cases of sexual violence against children were recorded in the country, which is 44% more than in 2010, when 9,524 similar crimes were registered.
