Three Russian soldiers were killed due to the fall of the wreckage of the drone, the Russian Defense Ministry specified. The agency clarifies that the aviation equipment was not damaged.

"On December 26, at about 01:35 Moscow time, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down at low altitude while approaching the Engels military airfield in the Saratov region. As a result of the fall of the wreckage of the drone, three Russian servicemen of the technical staff who were at the airfield were fatally injured", - the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Earlier, the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, said that the security forces were checking reports of an emergency. at a military facility in Engels after a number of tg channels and the media reported on nighttime cotton at the airfield. TG-channel Baza writes that as a result of a night explosion in Engels, three people were killed, four were hospitalized.

On December 5, the Ukrainian military already tried to strike with jet drones at the Dyagilevo and Engels airfields. The drones were intercepted by air defense systems. Three people also died as a result of the attack.
