According to Kommersant, next year, in order to overcome the shortage of personnel, companies will hire more older employees. The demand for temporary staff will also continue to grow. At the beginning of 2022, most employers hoped for a quick release of workers and an improvement in the hiring situation after the pandemic.
But by the end of the year, at least a partial shortage of workers was recorded in the labor market — this can be seen from the reviews of the results of the year prepared by a number of recruiting portals, recruitment agencies, as well as the Association of Private Employment Agencies (ACHAZ). Due to the departure of a large number of foreign firms from the country, the authorities were afraid of an increase in the number of unemployed. The official unemployment rate in the country as a whole had already set a new historical low by September, dropping to 3.8%. The September growth was only 0.1%. According to the statistics of the services "Work.ru" and "SberPodbor", although at the end of the year the average number of vacancies per month was 20% lower than last year, the same indicator for resumes decreased even more (by 21%).
In mid-December, it became known that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree extending labor market support measures until the end of next year in the face of Western sanctions imposed against Russia. 12 billion rubles will be spent on combating unemployment during the period of restrictive measures.
