This is reported by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
The service found that the mobile operator violated the antimonopoly legislation. The FAS ordered Megafon to reduce tariffs to an economically reasonable level. In addition, the company will pay a revolving fine. The amount of this fine will be determined during the administrative investigation.
Recall that the case against the operator was initiated in October of this year. The company itself claimed to have notified the FAS about the upcoming price increase.
Earlier on Tuesday, it became known about the plans of mobile operators to raise prices for mobile communication services from next year. The increase will affect a number of archive tariffs. Prices will increase by about 10% on average. The cost of the tariff will increase by no more than 50 rubles.
