More than 400 people are trapped in a burning hotel in Cambodia

According to the city authorities, whose words are quoted by The Phnom Penh Post, people remain blocked in the building where the casino is located. Presumably, most of them are Thai citizens. Now the fire is being extinguished. According to the director of the municipal administration Poipet Nim Pheung, Thai and Cambodian firefighters work together.

- Currently, more than 400 people are stuck in the casino building, and mostly Thais, - said the official. People died and suffered from burns, poisoning by gorenje products, as well as from falling out of windows.

Among the dead are citizens of Cambodia and Thailand. The victims were taken to a Thai hospital.

Poipet is located on the border with Thailand.
