The Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador Igor Kizim after the fall of a Ukrainian rocket on the territory of the country. The Ambassador was strongly protested.

This was announced by the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaze.

Minsk demands that Ukraine conduct a thorough investigation of what happened and bring the perpetrators to justice, as well as take measures to prevent similar situations from happening again in the future.

"This is a very serious incident. And the Belarusian side takes this issue as seriously as possible", - he said. His words are quoted by BELTA.

Recall that today the Belarusian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian S-300 missile in the sky over the country. Its wreckage collapsed near the village in the Ivanovo district of the Brest region. The village is located near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The President of the country Alexander Lukashenko instructed to find out the reasons for the fall of the rocket. Law enforcement agencies and the country's military are working at the scene of the incident.

This is not the first case of Ukrainian missiles hitting the territory of another country. In mid-November, a rocket was launched from Ukraine towards Poland. Initially, the Polish authorities accused Russia of violating the country's airspace. However, the Russian Defense Ministry denied these accusations. Later it became known that the missile was mistakenly fired by the Ukrainian military.
