The central bank has allowed banks from unfriendly countries to transfer funds abroad in rubles from correspondent accounts opened in Russian banks. This will help to support settlements in rubles for foreign trade operations.
"Under the conditions of sanctions pressure, such a payment channel will help to increase the stability of the international settlement infrastructure", - the regulator said in a statement. Recall that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation intends to use cryptocurrency for international settlements.
Today, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced the possibility of settlements in cryptocurrency with foreign trading partners.
In July, the Bank of Russia lifted the ban on non-resident banks from unfriendly countries to conduct transactions of purchase and sale of one currency in exchange for another.
