In Yekaterinburg, the Verkhny Isetsky District Court postponed the consideration of a criminal case on corruption against the chairman of the Sverdlovsk branch of the Union of Paratroopers, Yevgeny Teterin. The reason for the delay is sending to the special operation zone to work as the head of the mobile public reception.

According to Kommersant, Teterin is accused of three episodes of mediation in bribery committed on a particularly large scale (Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the charges, the head of the Ural Union of paratroopers faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 7 to 12 years. He did not appear at the preliminary hearing of the case in December because he went to the special operation zone."The decision was made in connection with the petition of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk region Tatyana Merzlyakova, who asked to release Evgeny Teterin to the zone of a special military operation, where he serves as the head of a mobile public reception," the press service of the court told the publication.

Due to these circumstances, the court postponed the hearing of the case to April 14.

According to Kommersant, a criminal case against Teterin was initiated in November 2021. In November 2022, he left for Donbass, so he could not appear for consideration of the case in December. Merzlyakova in mid—December called Teterin a valuable specialist capable of performing tasks in the special operation zone, and also stressed that mobilization is "the most important reason why a person may not come to the preliminary hearings".
