Investigators opened a criminal case because of an icicle that fell on the head of the General of the Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of a criminal case due to the fall of an icicle on Lieutenant General, Director of the Department of Operational Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Anatoly Elizarov, after which he was hospitalized in serious condition.

"According to the materials of the Dorogomilovskaya interdistrict prosecutor's office, sent in accordance with paragraph 2 of Part 2 of Article 37 of the Criminal Procedure Code, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of works and provision of services that do not meet safety requirements)", - the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the capital reported.The incident occurred on December 28.

Elizarov was passing near the building on Initiative Street when ice fell on him from the roof. Doctors revealed a concussion of the brain, a bruise of the soft tissues of the head, an open craniocerebral injury, damage to the cervical spine, as reported by the Telegram channel Baza. It was also reported that Elizarov underwent surgery.
