A new company will appear in Russia, which will develop a new mobile operating system. The OS will be created based on Android, as well as a platform that will be able to replace Google Mobile Services.

According to Kommersant, the company will be founded by VK, Yandex, Sberbank and Rostelecom. According to experts, an Android-based OS will be most in demand due to compatibility with a variety of applications. A source of the publication in the Russian electronics market said that VK and Sber are going to develop an analogue of GMS. "Major players are ready to unite to develop a platform," because "everyone needs it who wants their applications to have adequate functionality."
