Legendary footballer Pele has died

"We love you endlessly. Rest in peace", - is said in Kelly Nascimento's message. The heads of the International Football Federation (FIFA) expressed their condolences over Pele's death and called him "immortal":

- The Immortal is always with us. Pele had a tumor removed last year.

Doctors gave an encouraging prognosis, but two months after the operation Pele was hospitalized again. The footballer underwent a course of chemotherapy due to cancer, but the procedure did not bring results.

On December 21 of this year, it became known about the deterioration of his condition. Due to the negative dynamics of the disease, he needed intensive care. On December 26, Pele began saying goodbye to his family and loved ones. Pele is a three-time world champion in the Brazilian national team.

The International Football Federation recognized him as the best footballer of the XX century. He is the only footballer in the world who became world champion three times as a player (1958, 1962 and 1970). He played 92 matches for the national team. The legendary Pele is 77 years old.
