The Prosecutor General's Office told about the launch of an automated search for phishing sites

As the Prosecutor General's Office told TASS, we are also talking about portals that steal personal data and information about payment cards and passwords for online service operations. A draft law that regulates the issue of blocking such sites using a specialized information system has already been developed.

- A functioning prototype of the system provides automatic search for sites of the specified category.

It is planned that the system will provide electronic interaction of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, Roskomnadzor and other interested bodies in this area, the agency was informed in the supervisory authority. The Prosecutor General's Office announced the launch of a system for monitoring phishing sites last year.

The innovation will help to search for resources masquerading as websites of government organizations, companies, social networks and marketplaces. In the summer of 2022, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation announced the launch of a monitoring system for phishing sites, which is able to automatically track resources masquerading as official portals of government agencies, companies, social networks and marketplaces.
