This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the research of the Otkritie Bank. The authors found out that the average price of the Russian Lada Niva Travel SUV by the end of 2022 was 1.08 million rubles, which is 10.9% more than in January of the same year. Lada Granta turned out to be among the least expensive cars - 829.2 thousand rubles, rose by 11.1% and the Chinese FAW Bestune T77 for 2.2 million rubles, rose by 14.9%.
Among other brands popular with Russians, Lada Vesta has risen in price less than others - by 23.7%. A similar rise in price was noted for UAZ Patriot – 25.1%. The TOP 10 of the rating included Hyun dai Tucson - by 29.3% and Kia Seltos – by 30.6%.
The prices of two Chinese cars have changed on a similar scale: Changan CS75FL – now costs 24.8% more, and Haval Jolion – by 31.3%.
Immediately, the Chinese Changan CS35 Plus, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Exeed TXL and three Geely models – Atlas Pro, Tugella and Coolray - rose in price by 43%-60%. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max suv immediately added 73.4% in price, and in absolute numbers – 1.6 million rubles.
Experts believe that until the spring of 2023, Chinese cars that have "stagnated" with sellers will be sold at a discount of half a million rubles. At the same time, prices for new models of this year will increase by 10-12% by the end of the first quarter. It should be noted that despite the traditionally rising prices for cars at the beginning of the year, since January 1, 2023, the cost of cars has remained at last year's level.
Experts believe that this is due to the cessation of deliveries of officially presented brands in Russia and the lack of excitement among dealers.
