Guitarist Jeff Beck has passed away

Beck died on January 10 - shortly before his death, he contracted bacterial meningitis. - After an unexpected infection with bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday, - the musician's website says.

Jeff Beck was born in 1844 in London, sang in a church choir, and began playing guitar as a teenager.

His first musical group was Screaming Lord Sutch. Later Then Jimmy Page - one of the founders of Led Zeppelin - invited him to the Yardbirds, where Beck replaced Eric Clapton.

The musician played with the band for 20 months, during which the team released the 1966 album Yardbirds and the No. 3 single Shapes of Things.
