In Nizhny Novgorod, a fire broke at a cultural heritage site (PHOTO)

"The building is under reconstruction. There were no fatalities or injuries. At 9.27 am, the fire was localized on an area of 600 square meters. 64 personnel and 17 pieces of equipment are working at the site of the fire", - the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region reported.

The fire occurred in a building on Ilyinskaya Street, 64. The house of the merchant Kotelnikov built in 1870 is located here. According to the Nizhny Novgorod edition of NewsNN, firefighters who arrived at the scene found dense smoke on the second floor of the building. Repair and restoration work was carried out at the facility.

According to NewsNN, the fire attracted the attention of the prosecutor's office, which organized a check on the incident. Further actions will be determined after finding out the causes of the fire and conducting an inspection.
