Prince Harry's memoirs sold almost 1.5 million copies on the day of release. On January 10, more than 1.43 million copies were sold in the USA, Canada and the UK. The success of Prince Harry's autobiography "Spare" (Spare) is reported by The Mirror newspaper, referring to the book publisher Penguin Random House.

For the publisher, this is a record figure in terms of sales on the day of release among non-fiction books. In connection with the hype, an additional batch was sent to the press, Kommersant reports.Earlier it became known that Prince Harry's memoirs have become the fastest-selling nonfiction book in the history of the UK.

Only in the author's homeland, 400 thousand copies were sold on the first day in paper and electronic format, as well as in the form of audiobooks.

In his autobiography, Prince Harry talks about life and relationships in the royal family, personal life, and service in Afghanistan. It is noteworthy that its Spanish-language version mistakenly went on sale on January 5. Some of the revelations described in the book were considered scandalous and inappropriate, which was one of the reasons for the heated discussions of the autobiography even before it went on sale.
