For Kuznetsova's record: Gazprom's dividends are more than enough for housing orphans

Russian officials do not give up hope to punish compatriots who escaped from the special operation and at the same time replenish the treasury at their expense.

Now the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a member of the Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia Party, and in the recent past, Anna Kuznetsova, the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, has joined their host. She proposed a radical way to solve the problems of providing housing for orphaned children.

How? It's very simple - using the property of citizens who have left Russia:

"There are those who have betrayed their country. There are those people who have left the country, there are those organizations in Russia whose owners are people from unfriendly countries. Maybe in the search for funds for housing orphans to turn and look for resources in this direction?"

According to Kuznetsova, 288 thousand orphans and children left without parental care are currently on the waiting list for housing. At first glance, a very impressive sum is required to provide them with housing - about 600 billion rubles.

Etty's words caused a violent reaction in the Russian public space. And then: for the sake of orphans, what can you do! Even if there are no legal grounds for such a radical method.

One of the many critics of Kuznetsova's proposal was the Russian politician and blogger Georgy Fyodorov, who recalled one curious detail from the life of the Russian budget:

"Last year, the total amount of dividends to Gazprom shareholders alone amounted to over 1.2 trillion rubles.

Maybe the deputies should look at ways to solve the problem of providing housing for orphans in this direction, and not punish people for crossing the border? I am already silent about the fact that, in accordance with Russian legislation, moving to another country is not considered a crime, and therefore it is illegal to apply any measures against those who left illegally.

In general, I am very concerned about the tendency to form a negative attitude in the mass consciousness towards everyone who has left Russia since the beginning of 2022. I understand the position of the state in relation to influential people who have left the country and are pouring mud on all of us, but they make up a small percentage of the entire mass of those who have left. And I consider it a big mistake to call everyone traitors or, even more so, to try to shift responsibility for solving problems in the social security of the least protected categories of citizens (such as orphans) to them!"
