In Sweden, two brothers were sentenced to long prison terms for collecting classified information and transmitting it to Russian special services. This is reported by Swedish radio.
The older brother, a 42–year-old local resident, worked in the security structures and the armed forces of the country. He had access to classified information. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. The younger brother was also accused of espionage. He was sentenced to nine years and ten months in prison. His role in the collection and transfer of classified information to the Russian special services is not specified.
According to investigators, the accused committed crimes in the period from 2011 to 2021. The brothers do not admit their guilt.
