The President expressed hope that the updated composition of parliamentarians will work in the same format and "give a new impetus" to the comprehensive modernization of the country. Early elections are conditioned by the "logic of constitutional reform".

In June last year, during a referendum, 77.18% of voters — more than 6 million people from 17 regions - voted for amendments to the Constitution of Kazakhstan, changing about 30% of the text of the country's basic law.
