Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin suspected of circumventing sanctions

The work of the Russian House is provided by Rossotrudnichestvo.

"It will be checked whether the activities of the cultural center violate the law on foreign economic activity", - the DPA agency quotes the words of a representative of the German prosecutor's office.

The statement on which the investigation was initiated was submitted by the deputy from the Green Party Volker Beck. In his opinion, the organizers of the cultural center include an agency included in the sanctions lists. In July last year, the European Union imposed the seventh package of sanctions against Russia, which affected, among other things, Rossotrudnichestvo. According to RIA Novosti, the agency has not received official notifications about the inspection of the Russian House in Berlin.
