The deputies of the State Duma from the faction "Fair Russia — For Truth", led by their leader Sergey Mironov, sent to the Government of the Russian Federation a bill on lowering the retirement age for residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

"I am convinced that it is necessary to grant residents of these territories who have reached the age of 60 (men) and 55 (women) the right to an old-age pension. This will not only restore social justice, but also create additional motivation to work on these lands", - Mironov said in an interview with TASS. He noted that before joining Russia, the retirement age in the DPR and LPR was 60 years for men and 55 years for women, and residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions retired at 60.

The head of the faction came to the conclusion that pension conditions for new fellow citizens have deteriorated, which, in his opinion, should not be allowed. The interlocutor of the agency stressed the difficult living conditions in these regions.

TASS got acquainted with the text of the bill.

The document provides for amendments to the law "On Insurance Pensions". It is proposed to extend its effect to citizens with insurance experience of at least 15 years, which was obtained in the period from March 18, 2014 while working in the listed territories.A few days earlier, the head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction boasted of a sledgehammer given to him by the founder of the Wagner PMCs, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

According to RBC, who has read the document, a special model has been developed for this purpose, taking into account the experience of the Crimea and some fundamental differences for synchronizing pension systems in the transition period.
