150 residential buildings and two kindergartens on Sakhalin are left without water in the frosts

Because of the frosts, which are considered abnormal for the Sakhalin winter, communal accidents began on the island. Overheating of water supply networks led to the fact that residents of 150 houses in the planning area of Lugovoye Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and a kindergarten were left without water. On the night of January 24-25, RVC-Sakhalin specialists tried to warm up the nets.

Emergency recovery work is still being carried out. A similar situation occurred in the village of Kirovskoye in the Tymovsky district.

As indicated in the local administration, the resource-supplying organization of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Teplovik" has been working to find a breakthrough in the water pipeline for the last few days. The work was complicated by severe cold and significant snow cover.

On the eve of abnormal frosts caused a ban on planned power outages in another Far Eastern region - Primorye. Minus 40 degrees was recorded in Spassky, and more than fifty heating points were prepared in Vladivostok. Here, on the morning of January 24, the thermometer dropped to minus 27.4 degrees.
