The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov (pictured), in an interview with journalists, said that the Kremlin does not discuss changing the status of the special operation due to the supply of German and American tanks to Ukraine.

"We don't have such a topic on the agenda, it's better to clarify some details with Mr. Sheremet", - Peskov answered journalists' questions (quoted by RIA Novosti).Earlier today, State Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet, in an interview with RIA Novosti, proposed changing the status of the special operation after announcements about the supply of tanks from Germany and the United States for the Ukrainian army.

He did not give details of his proposal, but stressed that the events that are taking place have gone beyond the usual military conflict, and the territory of Ukraine should be blocked from the supply of lethal weapons.

In addition, Germany lifted the ban on sending the corresponding armored vehicles from the allies. On the same day, Washington announced plans to transfer 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kiev, which will take several months. Also, the Ukrainian army will receive M88 armored repair and evacuation vehicles for servicing armored vehicles. The White House believes that tanks will help Ukraine regain territories, including Crimea.
