According to the Hydrometeorological Center, wind with gusts up to 17 m/s, blizzard and ice are expected in Moscow and the Moscow region. There is a yellow level of weather danger in the region, as in the rest of the Central Federal District, except for the Lipetsk, Orel, Kursk, Belgorod and Voronezh regions.
As the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand told TASS, such changes are due to a change in circulation:
- The clouds will be low, gloomy. The weather pattern will change.
Visibility in the capital will be "not very good".
The same level of weather danger has been declared in the regions of the North Caucasus, Southern, Volga, Siberian, and Northwestern Federal Districts. In the Kamchatka Territory and in Chukotka, there is an orange danger level due to strong winds and blizzards.
At the end of last week, Muscovites were warned that snowfalls were coming to the city, which would subside over the weekend. At the same time, it was assumed that the temperature would start to rise from Monday, but snowfalls would return. In two days, the snow cover will grow from 23 to 34 cm.
