In the documentary "Putin vs the West" released today, Boris Johnson talks about a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin that took place shortly before the start of the special operation. In this conversation, the Russian president allegedly threatened Britain with a missile strike.
"No, what Mr. Johnson said is not true, or rather, it is a lie. And moreover, I will say, this is either a conscious lie, then, probably, the question is for what purpose he chose this version of the presentation, or it was unconscious and in fact he did not understand what Vladimir Putin was talking to him about. Then it becomes a little uncomfortable for the interlocutors of our president", - Dmitry Peskov commented. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The press secretary of the president added that in a conversation with Boris Johnson, the president spoke about security threats to Russia in the event of Ukraine's admission to NATO and the potential deployment of American missiles near the country's borders. If such a scenario is implemented, any rocket will reach Moscow in a matter of minutes, Dmitry Peskov explained.
He stressed that if the entire BBC film is built in this way, then he would not waste time watching it.
