The head of the Israeli government recalled that in the early stages of the conflict he was offered such a role.

He is now ready to consider the relevant proposal again.

"I was asked about this in the early stages of the conflict in Ukraine", - Netanyahu said in an interview with CNN.

However, he did not seek to mediate the conflicting parties, since the request was not official. He replied that Naftali Bennett, then Prime Minister, should "decide what to do about it," but he "tried and failed".

"If all interested parties ask me, of course I will consider this proposal," Netanyahu added.

Adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak has already said that the Israeli Prime Minister can act as a mediator in the conflict, since Netanyahu has an idea of modern wars and understands the role of a mediator.

Currently, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan remains the main mediator in the negotiations between the two countries. This was the reason why Hungary supported his candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Meanwhile, former President of the United States Donald Trump wrote on his social network that he would have solved the conflict in Ukraine within a day if he were now the head of the White House.
