Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has bequeathed to bury his heart in Ukraine if he does not live to see the resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

"If I don't live to see Ukraine win, which is very close, my heart should be buried in Kiev, because it belongs to Ukraine", - the former president of Georgia said during the trial. The politician added that he has no doubts about the victory of Ukraine, and is also proud of the Ukrainian president.

Mikhail Saakashvili has been in Vivamedi Hospital since May last year. He attended the meeting on his case online. The former president again stated that he needs treatment. In confirmation of his words, the politician, who lost 60 kg in a year, demonstrated his emaciated body.

It's worth reminding that in early January, protests in support of the former president took place in Georgia and 20 other countries around the world. Demonstrators are asking to release him from custody and provide treatment for the politician. Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky also called for the release of the Georgian politician. The Georgian parliament then called the demands of the Ukrainian leader "not quite adequate", regarding his statement as internal interference in the affairs of another country.
