Moscow takes the negotiations seriously, the head of the CIA is sure.

The director of the Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, said that the next six months will be "critical" for the conflict in Ukraine. He is sure that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is still betting that the West will get "political fatigue" from the events in Ukraine. Washington does not believe that Moscow is serious about negotiations.

Burns said that of the 30 hours he spent in Ukraine (in January), he spent six in bomb shelters.
