According to RIA Novosti, referring to the data of the price aggregator Price.ru in Russia, the average price of a TV has increased by 7-10% over the past year. Demand has also increased - by 12%.
The average cost of some LG and Samsung models has increased by more than 30%. Samsung UE-24N4500 has increased in price by 49% compared to 2021, Samsung UE-32N5000 - by 36%, LG 32LM550B – by 31%, and LG 32LM6350 – by 26%. The price of televisions from Chinese manufacturers has changed in the range from -18% to +22% over the year.
In the past year, buyers most of all chose TVs with diagonals of 32 and 43 inches (these added 18% and 23% in price). The demand for LED TVs increased by 17%, and for smart TVs by 29%. But the structure of demand is shifting towards Chinese brands. In absolute terms, LG and Samsung were still the leaders in 2022. Demand for LG has not changed, and Samsung has lost 13% altogether. The top ten TV brands included Sony and Philips. The demand for them also remained identical to last year's. The demand for the Russian brands Vityaz (+40%) and Hartens (+514%) has increased.
