According to RBC, a repeated earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in Turkey on the afternoon of February 6.
It provoked the collapse of several more high-rise buildings. Footage of the collapses was broadcast live on local TV channels, which were reporting from the scene of the tragedy. They show how the ground begins to shake, the facades of buildings are collapsing, people are running away in panic, trying to close themselves from falling debris and concrete dust that overtakes them.
Earlier it was reported that around 4 a.m. in Turkey, Syria and a number of nearby countries, tremors were recorded.
They provoked multiple destruction of housing, destruction of cultural monuments and mass human casualties. The total number of deaths exceeded 900 people. The number of victims is estimated in the thousands.
