A new earthquake occurred in the central part of the country 59 kilometers northeast of the city of Kahramanmarash, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). New tremors occurred about half of the second day. They were also felt in Syria.
Before that, on Monday night, another powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 occurred in Turkey. As a result of the incident, 912 people were killed, about five thousand people were injured, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. His words are quoted by the Turkish Anadolu agency. He noted that this is the largest earthquake in the country in the last 84 years.
