On the territory of the Khabarovsk Territory, the authorities decided to catch six Amur tigers that got into the habit of entering settlements.

Permission to catch wild animals was given to the authorities by specialists of Rosprirodnadzor. The authorities indicated that tigers in the Bikinsky, Vyazemsky, Khabarovsk, Nanai districts and the Lazo district are subject to capture. It is from these localities that signals are received that dangerous predators have often been noticed near human habitation.

Earlier it was reported that in Primorye, hungry tigers announced a hunt for yard dogs. One of the killer tigers killed 28 pets.

"The tigers will be immobilized and taken to a veterinarian for examination", - Governor Mikhail Degtyarev said.

According to him, after the examination, specialists will decide on the future fate of each predator, based on its condition.

"After that, the captured animal will be released into nature, away from settlements, or placed in a Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center", - Degtyarev said.

Those animals that are injured or exhausted will be sent to the Rehabilitation Center. There, under the supervision of veterinarians, their health will be restored, and then released into the wild. Before doing this, all tigers will be registered.

To track the movements of predators, each will wear a collar with a satellite transmitter.
