Moscow has expanded anti-American sanctions.

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the measures were "a reaction to Washington's continued expansion of the list of Russian citizens against whom personal sanctions are being imposed."

"We emphasize once again, for better assimilation in Washington, that any hostile actions against Russia, including the unwinding of the sanctions spiral, will be rebuffed and will hit the United States itself with a boomerang," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Now, Alabama Governor Ellen Ivey, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, heads of business development at Leidos, retired US Air Force Lieutenant General William Bender, Michigan Secretary Jocelyn Benson, North Dakota Governor Doug Bergam, daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Christine Pelosi, have been placed under restrictions. Ex-military attache of the US Embassy in Russia, retired Brigadier General Peter Zvak.

At the same time, the US Treasury withdrew Russian singer Grigory Leps from sanctions.

At the end of last year, we recall, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced a ban on the entry of 200 citizens of the United States into the country - in response to the sanctions regularly imposed by the American side against Moscow.
