A shortage and a rise in the price of transponders are predicted in Russia

The reason for the rise in price is the projected shortage of these devices against the background of Western sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.

After the beginning of the military special operation (SVO) of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, many manufacturers refuse to supply their equipment to Russia. This is reported by Forbes with reference to the data of the Accounting Chamber.

Auditors believe that the rapid transition of car owners to domestic equipment is fraught with a significant increase in the cost of devices.

The Accounting Chamber is convinced that Russian transponders will cost consumers more than foreign ones. Already, stocks of imported devices in warehouses have run out. The last reserves will last until April at most.

Meanwhile, the demand for transponders, the number of which in circulation has reached 3.5 million, continues to grow, especially in the summer.

Avtodor predicts that with the opening of the M-12 highway, an explosive growth in demand for transponders is expected on the market. However, domestic manufacturers promise to introduce their developments to the market no earlier than 2024.
