Yelena Pronicheva became the new CEO of the Tretyakov Gallery

The ministry noted that the reason for leaving the post was the completion of the term of the employment contract. At the same time, on January 31, it became known that the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation demanded that the Tretyakov Gallery report on the compliance of expositions with spiritual and moral values. The corresponding report had to be submitted to the museum workers no later than February 6. The reason for this was the complaint of a certain Sergey Shadrin, according to whom the museum's exposition dedicated to the art of the second half of the XX century contains scenes that do not correspond to the spiritual and moral values approved by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on November 9, 2022.

Yelena Pronicheva graduated from MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 2005 with a degree in comparative political science, after which she worked in various positions in the Budget and Taxes Committee in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of Gazprom, Gazprombank, at VDNH (VVC). In 2013, she became the executive director of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, and since December 15, 2020, she has been in charge of the Moscow Polytechnic Museum.

As RIA Novosti notes, her sister Yekaterina has been heading the Moscow Tourism Committee since 2018, and her father, General Vladimir Pronichev, headed the Border Service of the Russian Federation from 2003 to 2013. According to information from open sources, in October 2002, he headed the operation for the release of hostages during the terrorist attack at the theater center on Dubrovka "Nord-Ost", during which the terrorists were unable to detonate numerous explosive devices, but the operation itself led to significant human casualties.
