A Russian woman with a child became victims of an earthquake in Turkey

"During the rescue operations, a woman and one child were found, unfortunately, without signs of life", - the report says.

The search for the rest of the family members who were in the epicenter of the earthquake continues. The names of the victims are not called.

On February 8, it became known that a group of Russian rescuers went to Hatay in search of a missing Russian family with two children after the earthquake.

Earlier it was reported that on February 6, the most destructive earthquake in the last 84 years occurred in Turkey and Syria. His victims were more than 20 thousand people.

During the tremors, 6,000 buildings collapsed.

Many people were injured, thousands were left homeless.

The Turkish authorities called the incident "the greatest catastrophe".

Many countries, including the Russian Federation, have sent humanitarian missions to the affected areas, forming teams of rescuers and medics equipped with the necessary equipment for work.
