The Russian Defense Ministry announced the delivery of more than 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria

The first batch of humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation for earthquake victims has arrived in Syria. It was delivered by a military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces to the Russian Khmeimim airbase. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Russian servicemen delivered more than 20 tons of humanitarian supplies, including food (canned food, flour, pasta, sunflower oil, tea, coffee, instant soups) and warm blankets", - the message on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation says.

The delivery was carried out by IL-76 VTA aircraft. The humanitarian aid includes 4.5 tons of food.

It is noted that the delivery was carried out with the assistance of the Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties. The Russian military promised to promptly provide humanitarian aid to those in need.
