Deputy Prime Minister Novak promised to send 80% of Russian oil to "friendly" countries

This year, Russia will redirect its oil exports to "friendly" countries, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in the Energy Policy magazine. 

"We continue to search and find new markets. This year, it is planned to send more than 80% of oil exports and 75% of petroleum products to friendly countries", - the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

He said that the position of the authorities on supplies that support illegitimate price restrictions remains unchanged: such countries will not receive Russian oil.

Russian oil companies are "already building new logistics chains" to redirect exports.

"In particular, in order to reorient the supply of Russian oil and petroleum products to friendly countries in 2022, a project was implemented to increase transportation in the direction of the port of Kozmino. As a result, we have ensured the growth of transportation to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region up to 42 million tons of oil per year", - Novak added.

Earlier, Novak said that in March 2023, Russian oil production will be reduced by half a million barrels per day. In early February, the International Energy Agency announced that Russia could start producing 1 million b/d less oil during 2023. In the United States, production will grow by the same indicator this year.
