As Kommersant reports with reference to expert data, depressurization could be associated with violations in the production of Russian segments of the ISS.
"I think we are talking about some kind of deviation from technology - a little bit of the wrong material, a little bit of the wrong production conditions, a different operator," the expert's opinions are quoted by Izvestia.
At the same time, the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, said that the damage to Progress-21 could have occurred due to external influences from a meteorite or space debris hitting it.
This is the second case of depressurization on the ISS in the last two months. In mid-December, a similar emergency occurred on the Soyuz MS-22 ship, where a coolant leak occurred. After that, it was announced that the ship would be returned to Earth in March.
