Exercises of the forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) "Unbreakable Brotherhood" — 2023 will be held in Kyrgyzstan. The relevant information was announced during the press conference by the head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov.

"It is planned to hold a joint exercise with the Unbreakable Brotherhood peacekeeping forces on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic", - Sidorov said (quoted by TASS).

During the exercises, tasks related to post-conflict settlement in the crisis zone and the implementation of a peacekeeping operation will be worked out.

Initially, Armenia was supposed to be the host of the exercise, but on January 10, the country's Defense Ministry informed the CSTO of the refusal. According to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, holding CSTO exercises in the country is not advisable, at least in 2023. During the press conference, Sidorov noted that the postponement of the organization's exercises is the right of any state within the CSTO.
