Mortality decreased by 22% in 2022

Last year, life expectancy increased by 2.5 years and amounted to 72.6 years. Golikova expressed the hope that this year Russia will return to doc-like indicators.

"But I would like to thank those regions of the country for the fact that we are steadily moving to reduce mortality, mortality decreased by 22% compared to 2021 in the Russian Federation in 2022", - the Deputy Prime Minister announced.

Infant mortality in Russia demonstrates the potential to decrease, which is the key to increasing life expectancy.

Earlier, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko spoke about an increase in the average life expectancy in the country to 72.4 years. In 2021, the indicator was 2.4 years lower. Improvements have been achieved through disease prevention and improved treatment approaches.
